The Public Service Alliance of Canada is pleased to launch a brief video to raise awareness about the duty to accommodate. It covers employer and employee obligations toward ensuring a work environment that is both inclusive and discrimination-free.
Women, workers with disabilities, racialized workers and others who are protected by Canadian human rights legislation face daily barriers at work. These can be physical, attitudinal or systemic. Accommodation means reviewing and revising rules, policies, practices or standards to incorporate alternative arrangements that eliminate those discriminatory barriers on a case-by-case basis.
We are also proud to announce that this video includes subtitles in Inuktitut.
